It has an amazing ability to put every element in the music in a specific spot on the stage, with clearly defined edges and positions, and have them stay there. you can really peer into the virtual stage and focus on every little element in the music.

A great headphone that, with the recent price reduction, can only get a higher recommendation from me.

Headfonia.com:

How good is the Arya Stealth?! Waw! It isn’t cheap or available to everyone but the performance for the price is highly remarkable.

The Arya Stealth’s tuning is very good. It’s pleasing, yet technically strong as well as musical and exciting. The Arya Stealth always has good body, presence, impact and depth. The Hifiman Arya Stealth is an end game headphone for many, I am sure. It’s a definite recommendation from my end. To our Recommended Buy list it goes, a well-deserved award!

What does this mean?

The black line is something that could be called the „ideal“ curve of what a headphone should sound like. The Harman Research Group has a range of scientific studies around audio and the human perception of it - one of which was, how should a headphone sound like to be favored by a majority of people, no matter the age or other demographic variables? This result is called the Harman target.

From left to right we have the sub bass, bass, mids and then the curve finally tilts upward where the treble begins - this part of the frequency spectrum gets amplified naturally by the shape of the human ear.
